FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

WHAT CAN I FREIGHT?

CARTONS 

  • Small items that are easily handled and easily stacked ie: boxed items
  • Parcels, Satchels, 20ltr drums that are small and easily transportable
  • Maximum weight per carton is 25kg and 0.1m3. Cartons over this weight and dimensions will be charged additional charges.

PALLETS

  • A standard pallet is 1.2m(l) x 1.2 m(w) x 1.8m (h)
  • Overhung Pallets may be applicable to extra charges
  • Pallets over 1000kg may be applicable to extra charges

OTHER FREIGHT

  • All other freight is quoted on an individual basis
HOW DO I MEASURE MY ITEM?

DIMENSIONS

  • Please quote your item as Length x Width x Height in centimetres
  • Your dimensions should be given in metric measurements only
  • All three dimensions are required so we can adequately book enough space for your item on our vehicle

WEIGHT

  • The correct weight of the freight is required when booking a consignment or obtaining a quote
RATES, FEES & CHARGES

RATES:
You will receive a quote at the time of your booking enquiry.

ADDITIONAL FEES & CHARGES:

HAND UNLOAD
If a forklift is unavailable and the driver (if possible) is required to hand unload a pallet, an additional fee of $25 per pallet will apply

FUTILE PICKUP / DELIVERY
If the driver has arrived and the item is not ready for pickup, or the driver has been given the wrong address, an additional fee will be applied as per time delay occurred to drivers schedule. This will be charged proportionate to the delivery or pick up space required.

DEPOT STORAGE
A daily storage fee may apply for items not collected from our depots.

WAIT TIMES
Time is of the essence for our drivers and is critical for us to keep to schedule. If our driver is subject to a delay due to items not being ready, pick up location being closed or any other factor that will delay our driver, you will receive an additional fee to compensate the drivers delay. The additional demurrage will be charged in 15 minute increments.

HOW DO I BOOK MY ITEM FOR TRANSPORT?

For account customers, simply click on the Customer Login icon at the top right hand corner of the page.

For a cash sale, you also do this via our home page selecting Quote and Book Freight. Here you will be able to obtain a price , book and pay for your freight movement.

When booking, please ensure you have the following information:

Your Name

Your Address

Your Contact Details

Receivers Name

Receivers Address

Receivers Contact details

All others details including pick up and delivery times and dates. This will be outlined when making the booking.

Please also include any purchase order or invoice numbers if applicable.

HELPFUL TIPS

CLEARLY MARK YOUR ITEM WITH CORRECT DETAILS

  • Please ensure that all items have the freight label affixed to each item
  • Please ensure that a copy of the consignment note is printed off ready on pick up

PACKAGING YOUR GOODS

  • Please make sure your packaging is safe, sturdy and secure. Your item may be handled multiple times before reaching the receiver, so the more secure your item is, the more protected it is.
